Balkanska smotra mladih strip autora najstariji je strip-festival na Balkanskom poluostrvu jer postoji od 1998. godine. Takođe je i jedna od najmasovnijih strip-manifestacija na svetu, jer je 2022. godina na njoj učestvovalo 3046 izlagača iz 82 zemlje sveta sa 6 kontinenata. Festival se uvek održava poslednjeg vikenda juna i svake godine ima program sastavljen od 3 do 5 izložbi te brojnih promocija, predvanja, tribina, okruglih stolova i slično. Jedna od izložbi Balkanske smotre je uvek i predstavljanje nacionalnih strip-scena različitih zemalja, pa su do sada predstavljene strip-scene Bosne, Makedonije, Hrvatske, Bugarske, Slovenije, Crne Gore, Rumunije, Grčke, Turske, Danske, Francuske, Belgije, Česke, Južne Koreje, Poljske i Japana. Na smotri se takođe dodeljuje i čitav niz strip-nagrada, između ostalog i nagrade za najboljeg mladog strip-crtača, ilustratora, strip-scenaristu i strip-teoretičara Balkana.


The Balkans Festival of Young Comic Creators is the oldest comic festival on the Balkan Peninsula, since it has been in existence since 1998. It is also one of the most massive comics events in the world, because in 2022, 3046 exhibitors from 82 countries from 6 continents took part in it. The festival is always held on the last weekend of June and every year it has a program consisting of 3 to 5 exhibitions and numerous promotions, presentations, panels, round tables, master classes and the like. One of the exhibitions of the Balkan Show is always the presentation of the national comic scenes of different countries, and so far the comic scenes of Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Montenegro, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, France, Belgium,Czech Republic, Republic of Korea, Poland and Japan have been presented. A whole series of comics prizes are also awarded at the show, including awards for the best young comics artist, illustrator, comic screenwriter and comics theorist in the Balkans.
